Girl Scout Troop 2582 is Central Kentucky’s only Girl Scout troop created specifically for girls with disabilities. The troop strives to be a welcoming place for girls with mild, moderate, and severe disabilities to participate fully in the Girl Scout experience.
Through troop meetings and activities, the girls build confidence, learn new skills, earn badges, and enjoy experiences together in a supportive environment.
Troop 2582 is a self-sustaining troop, which means they never ask parents for money. Instead, their annual Girl Scout cookie sales fund everything the troop does throughout the year—including uniforms, badges, and activities for the next 12 months. Girl Scout cookie sales are a long-standing fundraising program that supports troop activities while helping girls build leadership and business skills.
