Frequently Asked Questions

We would like to share with you some answers to our most frequently asked questions.

Where is the conference held?

For 2021, the conference is held in your home.

Who can participate in this conference?

If you are female you are welcome! This is designed for ALL ages and stages of life; don’t think “I’m too young or too old for this.” You don’t have to be a member of our church or any church for that matter. This conference is for YOU!

Is there a fee to attend the conference virtually?

No, as a way to show our love of God and our love of others, we are offering this conference for FREE to anyone and everyone that wants to attend.

Do I need to register for the conference if I am attending at someone’s house?

You are not required to register for the conference if you are attending at someone’s house, but we do encourage you to register. By registering with us online you gain access to email updates, information, etc. that we will send out before and after the conference.

What is the deadline to register?

With this year’s conference being virtual, we do not have a deadline for registration. You can register at any time and receive our host guide and everything you need to host the conference in your home on whatever day you choose.

Do I have to watch or host the conference on March 6?

No. While the conference videos will be posted on March 6 at 8:30 a.m., you are welcome and able to participate in any way you like on or after the March 6th date.

When does the conference start and end?

The conference videos will all be posted online on March 6, 2021, at 8:30 a.m. Once the videos are posted, they will remain online and available forever (or as long as we have a YouTube Channel!).

Once you register you will receive a Host Guide that will include sample schedules. As an example, if you were to use the one-day schedule and begin at 9:00 a.m. your first session would last until 12:00 p.m., you would break for lunch, come back around 1:00 p.m. and your second session would last until 3:00 p.m.

I want to host, but I’m not sure I have enough time or resources. What is required of me as a host?

There are four key elements that we ask every hostess to include at her gathering:
1. A Welcoming & Safe Environment, whether in your home or online.
2. The Devoted and Driven 2021 Conference Videos (accessed online).
3. An Attendee Guide for each guest (can be provided digitally or printed).
4. Discussion Time using the questions provided in the Attendee Guide.

Anything you choose to include or provide beyond these key elements is up to you.

If you already have the technological elements in place (internet connection and smart tv/device), hosting the conference can be completely free of cost. You may provide the attendee guides to your guests digitally and ask them to bring their own sack lunch or snacks.

Can I reserve a room at Forks of Elkhorn Baptist Church for my conference event or Bible study?

Yes! You can request a room reservation at Forks of Elkhorn Baptist Church for your conference event. If you would like to request a room, please fill out the meeting request form at forksbapist.org/meeting-request.

Here are some restrictions you might want to know before deciding to request a room at the church:

  • Your group will be assigned to an area.
  • Please make a list of all those in attendance. We’ll have a sheet where you can have people sign in or you can take attendance and write in their names.
  • Someone should spray the bathroom with disinfectant between uses.
  • Water fountains are turned off. People may want to bring their own bottled water.
  • The kitchen areas are not available for use. (Food should not be brought in or served since eating would require masks to be removed for an extended period.)
  • Everyone is required to wear a mask and observe physical distancing while they are in the building.
  • Please designate someone in your group as the “cleaning contact.” This person will be responsible for making sure your area is cleaned and disinfected after your meeting. A checklist, cleaning supplies, and instructions will be provided. Once the checklist is completed, the cleaner should sign it and turn it in outside the church office.
  • We are not able to provide childcare during meetings at this time.

How will I access the speaker sessions and other conference content?

The speaker sessions will be posted on our YouTube Channel. You can subscribe to our channel now at devotedconference.org/youtube.

Additional details on technology and conference presentation can be found in the Host Guide.

I want to host, but I’m not sure about having people in my home. Is there a way to host online?

You may certainly host online. If you are not familiar with a platform like Zoom, perhaps someone in your potential invite group is and can help you host the conference that way. Another option would be to watch the videos on your own, then do a conference call for the discussion time.

I would like to attend in someone’s home, but I don't know anyone who is hosting – can you all connect me with someone?

We are not able to connect you with a group directly, but you may be able to connect with one in our Devoted & Driven Facebook Group.

Do I have to watch the conference all at once or can I break it up into smaller portions?

This year’s conference was designed for you to have the freedom to decide how, when, and where the conference is presented. Examples of potential schedules will be included in your Host Guide.

What can I expect from this experience?

We have been praying that you will experience an encounter with the Lord. We expect God to answer our prayers. There will be praise and worship, spirit-filled speakers and their messages of faith, hope, healing, love, and inspiration, as well as meaningful fellowship and conversation with other women either in your home or in our Devoted & Driven Facebook Group.

Will there be conference shirts and sweatshirts this year?

Absolutely! Click here to order now. Items ordered can be shipped to your home or can be picked up at the EC3 Apparel Retail Store in Versailles. Be sure to order by February 24, 2021 if you would like to receive your items by conference release day, March 6.
