We would like to share with you some answers to our most frequently asked questions.

Is there a fee to attend the conference?

Yes. This year, as we are back to our “full day” conference, there is a fee to attend. If you purchase your ticket during the month of January, the fee is $25. If you purchase your ticket in February or March, the fee is $30.

Who can participate in this conference?

Anyone and everyone. You don’t need to be a member of Forks to participate. While the Devoted Conference is a ministry of Forks of Elkhorn Baptist Church, we are passionate about bringing ladies of all ages, stages, and walks of life (including other church groups) together for the purpose of glorifying God. There is something for everyone, from teens to mature adults and everyone in between.

Who are this year's featured guests?

You can learn more about our speakers on our speaker page: devotedconference.org/speakers

What is the topic?

This year’s conference theme is MORE, based in the Prayer of Jabez:

Have you ever considered the paradox, “Less is more?” The scriptural reference for that lesson is found in John 3:30, “He must increase, but I must decrease.” But what does it mean? Where there is more of Christ, there will be less of us. The world tells us we need more education, more money, more followers, and more stuff; but what does God want us to have more of? HIM!

In 1 Chronicles 4:9-10, we are introduced to Jabez, whose name means pain. Lord knows, he didn’t ask for more of that, and I would venture to say you won’t ask for more pain either. Surprisingly, the prayer of Jabez is tucked into the Bible between long lists of genealogy and gives us a front-row seat to his request for MORE: blessing, territory, power, and protection. This year, as we seek to be MORE Devoted to Christ, we will be challenged to pray boldly and to expect “God to grant our request.” In doing so, we can look forward to a more abundant life in Christ.

Where is the conference held?

The conference is held at Forks of Elkhorn Baptist Church in Midway, KY. Specifically in the gymnasium of the CROSS Center. For your GPS, the address is 480 Duckers Road, Midway, KY 40347.

When does the conference start and end?

The conference will begin at 9:00 a.m. and end around 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 4. The doors will open at 8:00 a.m.

Can I reserve a specific table or seat?

No, all tickets for the conference are general admission and we cannot save specific tables or seats. To have a greater choice of seats or to find seats for your group all together, we recommend arriving early to the conference. The doors will open at 8:00 a.m.

*Our speakers, worship leaders, and vendors are an exception to this as they require specific seating to help fulfill their duties on conference day.

Is childcare offered?

No, we are not able to offer childcare during Devoted.

When do the doors open?

We will be providing parking assistance and shuttle service starting at 8:00 am. This service will also be available at the conclusion of the day.

Will there be a photo opportunity?

Yes, a photographer will be available before and after the event to capture you and/or your group in a fun and memorable setting.

How should I dress?

Casual and comfortable. You will be sitting in a folding chair at a round table.

We will do our best to keep the room at a temperature comfortable for everyone, but if you know you are often cold or warm, you may want to dress in layers so you can adjust as needed.

Will there be food?

Yes, we will have a grab-and-go style breakfast available as you come in and lunch during the day.

The grab-and-go breakfast will include bagels, cream cheese, granola/breakfast bars, fruit, juice, coffee, and water.

Lunch is being provided by a generous donor and will include Jimmy John’s sandwiches (lettuce, tomato, cheese, turkey, ham), chips, and a cookie. Mustard and mayonnaise will be available. Beverages will be tea, lemonade, and water.

If you have special dietary needs or would simply prefer different options, you are welcome to bring food with you. We are not able to provide refrigeration. You should have plenty of space at your table to keep your food with you.

What should I bring?

All that is required is an expectant heart, open to a fresh encounter with the Holy Spirit. You may want to bring a pen and a notebook. We will do our best to keep the room at a temperature comfortable for everyone, but if you know you are often cold or warm, you may want to dress in layers so you can adjust as needed.

What is the deadline to register?

The last day to sign up is conference day, March 4, 2023. It is possible that we could fill up before that date, so we do recommend that you register for the conference as soon as you know you’re able to attend.

What can I expect from this experience?

We have been praying that you will experience an encounter with the Lord. We expect God to answer our prayers. There will be praise and worship, spirit-filled speakers sharing  messages of faith, hope, healing, love, and inspiration, as well as moments of fellowship and conversation with other women.
