Next Steps

More opportunities for growth in the Lord

Gideon Bible Study

Bible study for women beginning March 17 at 5pm. This seven week Bible study, “Gideon” by Priscilla Shirer, will encourage you to recognize your weakness as the key that the Lord gives you to unlock the full experience of His strength in your life. Instead of ignoring, neglecting, or trying to escape your weaknesses, learn to see them as the gifts given specifically and strategically by God. If you’ve ever felt insufficient, ill-equipped, incompetent, or outnumbered, this study is for you.

Bloom Online Study

Starting Tuesday, March 5, join Forks Devoted for an online time of connection, prayer, and Bible Study.  This six-week session will be facilitated by Melissa Wainwright. The study will focus on areas from the 2019 Devoted Conference, Bloom.  During the six weeks, participants will explore women in the Bible who Bloomed where they were planted. The sessions will provide the opportunity to explore individual ways to Bloom where we are planted.  Each week will focus on an area of personal and spiritual growth.

Body & Soul Group

Body & Soul Growth Group for women age 40 and over will begin Tuesday, March 5th at 9:45am in the lobby of the CROSS Center. The class will include: 15 minutes of walking, personal growth tips and treasures, Bible study (Living Right in a Wrong Way World), and guest speakers each semester. Sign up at the Welcome Center or just show up on our first day of class.

12 More Women

A new women’s Bible study will begin March 18 at 10am. This six-week Bible study, “Twelve More Women of the Bible” by Lisa Harper, Karen Ehman, etc. has life-changing stories for women today. The Bible paints pictures of real people with all their struggles, doubts and failings. The lessons and journeys of faith will help you find your way forward as you follow God’s leading. Each week we will look at two women and how they grew in faith.

Drop, Cover & Hold On

5 Steps to a God-Centered Covenant Plan for Marriage

(Define, Discover, Dream, Design, & Destiny)
Facilitated by Dr. Melissa E. Wainwright
Saturday, April 27, 2019 from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m.
Offered at no cost to you and your spouse!

With so many pressures and threats to marriages, couples need tools to prevent disaster from striking the covenant relationship. Drop, Cover, and Hold On provides an innovative 5-step approach for couples to develop a Biblically-based prevention plan. Sessions provide a variety of activities to discover, dream, and design the “happily ever after” God intended for marriage. At the end of the session, couples leave with a plan to implement immediately and tools to strengthen the covenant relationship in the days, weeks, and months ahead. Participants develop plans to drop in prayer, cover the relationship in biblical principles, and hold on to the promises of God’s Word regarding marriage.

Couples are strongly encouraged to plan a date night after the session concludes at 5:30 p.m.

We will meet in the Student Ministry room on the Forks of Elkhorn Baptist Church CROSS Center second floor.
